Porcellio laevis “Dairy Cow”

The Dairy Cow isopod is widely recognized as one of the most voracious species in the hobby, constantly seeking its next meal. In larger numbers, they show almost indifference to hands exploring their enclosure. However, they are not recommended for use with soft-bodied reptiles.

Food: Main source of food should be decaying leaf litter and wood. Dairy cows are also very fond of a consistent source of protein. I feed mine various supplemental protein 2x per week and they go crazy for it. They will sometimes eat the food right out of my hand!

Size: Medium-large; older adults can get very large
